In addition, over the past 3 decades we have installed well over 1000 stainless steel chimney liners.  Relining a fireplace should only be done by a licensed contractor with the right training and certification.  There are many different types, shapes and ways to install a liner and each choice is crucial to the performance of your chimney.

Relining a fireplace is a process of installing a new Stainless steel Flue in the Chimney system. Relining is done for many reasons such as cracked flues, unlined brick flues, new stove or stove inserts install or several other reasons. Anytime there is a damaged flue system according to (NFPA) code 211 the system must be relined.  As gases flow through the system these gases make their way into cracks, gaps and any other area that is not sealed correctly. Once this happens pockets of fuel (creosote) can act like bombs tearing apart your system or even worse your home.  Relining a fireplace keeps these Flue gases going where they should.
