How Is a Chimney Cleaned?

Chimneys and fireplaces are cleaned from the bottom to the top, then from the top back down to the bottom. This is done to prevent a big, sooty mess from being made, as well as to ensure every single part of the system gets cleaned. Lucky Cricket exclusively uses a SootSweeper I for this job and has for over three decades—and despite the machine not being the newest on the market, it’s proven effective at keeping soot completely out of homes and protected plenty of flooring, furnishings, and personal items from dirt and stains.
